Speaking on behalf of the Council, the Kwasohene commended Earth Care Ghana for staying engaged with the farmers well beyond the initial training, noting that the organisation’s return to evaluate progress reflected genuine investment in the community’s development. “Our farmers are the backbone of this nation’s cocoa industry, yet many of them work under difficult conditions with little support. When organisations like Earth Care Ghana take the initiative to come to the grassroots, sit with us, and design programmes that speak directly to the needs of our farmers, it gives us hope,” he said.

He used the occasion to reaffirm the importance of consistency in development work, urging Earth Care Ghana to continue this practice of returning to the field to inspect outcomes rather than limiting its involvement to training sessions alone. “It is not enough to visit once and leave. We urge Earth Care Ghana to always be on the ground with our farmers — to monitor, to follow up, and to walk with them through the process. That is how real change happens,” he stated.

The Chief further called on the organisation to extend this same model of training and follow-up assessment to other underdeveloped cocoa-growing communities that remain overlooked despite their contribution to national cocoa production.

“There are many farming communities beyond Kwaso that need this same attention. We encourage Earth Care Ghana to broaden its reach and ensure that no cocoa-growing community is left behind,” Nana Osei Fosu Adutwum added.

The Kwaso Traditional Council pledged its continued cooperation, promising to support subsequent phases of the programme. Officials of Earth Care Ghana, in response, expressed gratitude for the Chief’s endorsement and reaffirmed their commitment to sustained, ground-level engagement with cocoa farmers across the region.
