— MKwaso, Ejisu Municipal District — Ashanti Region || August 12th, 2026
Collaboration supports the birth of AGRO-NIA, an AI-powered agriculture intelligence platform for farmer digitization, certification readiness, traceability, training, and export-market access
Accra, Ghana – July 7th – Earth Care Ghana, a Ghanaian non-governmental organization dedicated to sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, climate resilience, and community development, has entered into a strategic local partnership with MODARA Group and its affiliated MODARA Group companies’ network to accelerate the digital transformation of smallholder agriculture in Ghana.
The partnership, formalized through a Certificate of Authorization, positions Earth Care Ghana as a local implementation partner for MODARA Group initiatives in Ghana, with a focus on sustainable agriculture, farmer digitization, certification support, traceability, Agri-Tech deployment, and international market-readiness programs.
The collaboration also marks a major step toward the birth and field validation of AGRO-NIA, MODARA Group’s AI-powered agriculture intelligence platform designed to support farmers, cooperatives, agribusinesses, NGOs, governments, and development partners with digital farmer management, training, advisory intelligence, certification workflows, traceability, and market access infrastructure.
Connecting Ghanaian Farmers to Premium Global Organic Markets
The global organic food market is projected to grow significantly over the coming years, creating new opportunities for farmers who can meet international standards around quality, sustainability, traceability, and responsible production.
For smallholder farmers, however, access to these markets is often limited by high certification costs, fragmented records, lack of digital traceability, limited buyer visibility, and insufficient technical support.
Through this partnership, Earth Care Ghana and MODARA Group aim to address these barriers by combining grassroots farmer engagement with advanced digital infrastructure, venture-building capability, and international commercialization pathways.
The initiative will support farmers and farmer groups in areas such as:
- Digital farmer registration and farmer ID systems
- Farm profile and crop data management
- Field verification and supervisor workflows
- Farm-to-market traceability
- Certification-readiness support
- Training, education, and digital learning records
- Climate-smart and sustainable agriculture practices
- Export-readiness documentation
- Partner, buyer, and donor reporting
- Access to future AI-based advisory tools through AGRO-NIA
“Certification is no longer only a compliance exercise; it is a pathway to trust, premium pricing, and international market access,” said Mr. Kwame Appiah Kubi, Executive Director of Earth Care Ghana. “Through this partnership, the farmers we work with can gain access to the digital tools, training systems, traceability infrastructure, and global networks needed to compete in high-value markets.”
AGRO-NIA: Giving Birth to an Agriculture Intelligence Platform
AGRO-NIA is being developed as a modular agriculture intelligence platform within the MODARA Agri-Tech Kitchen ecosystem. It is designed to help transform agricultural operations from manual, fragmented systems into data-driven, traceable, and scalable digital ecosystems.
In its first phase, AGRO-NIA will focus on practical field deployment, including:
- Farmer registration and digital profiles
- Mobile and dashboard-based farmer management
- Supervisor field verification
- Farmer ID cards with QR-code profile access
- Crop, plot, and farm activity records
- Notifications and announcements
- Academy and training history
- Certification-support workflows
- Basic reporting for partners and stakeholders
Over time, the platform can expand into AI advisory, IoT-enabled farm monitoring, ESG reporting, organic certification support, digital traceability, climate-smart agriculture intelligence, and export-market integration.
“AGRO-NIA is being designed to close one of the most important gaps in agriculture: the distance between field reality and decision intelligence,” said Dr. Farnaz Ghodrati Namin, Chief Science Officer at MODARA Group and Product Owner of AGRO-NIA Solutions. “From an Agri-Tech perspective, the value is not only in collecting farmer and farm data, but in transforming that data into practical guidance, traceability evidence, training pathways, certification readiness, and measurable impact. For smallholder farmers, this means better visibility, stronger market access, and more confidence in adopting sustainable and climate-smart practices. For partners and investors, it creates a scalable intelligence layer that can support productivity, transparency, and long-term value creation.”
For MODARA Group, AGRO-NIA represents a strategic Agri-Tech product and venture platform. For Earth Care Ghana, it provides a practical digital backbone to support farmers, youth, communities, and sustainable agriculture programs.
Together, Earth Care Ghana and MODARA Group are creating the field foundation for AGRO-NIA to evolve from concept into a scalable agriculture intelligence venture.
Supporting Certification, Traceability, and Export Readiness
The partnership is expected to support farmers pursuing access to internationally recognized standards and market frameworks, including:
- EU Organic for access to European markets
- USDA Organic / NOP for the United States market
- GlobalG.A.P. for food safety and quality assurance
- Fairtrade for ethical trade and community development premiums
- JAS for access to the Japanese market
By combining Earth Care Ghana’s local farmer engagement with MODARA Group’s digital architecture, Agri-Tech Kitchen model, affiliated technology network, and commercialization capabilities, the partnership aims to make certification support more accessible, organized, and scalable.
This is especially important as global buyers increasingly require reliable proof of origin, responsible production, deforestation-free sourcing, ethical supply chains, and measurable sustainability impact.
Alignment with Ghana’s Export and Sustainable Development Ambitions
Ghana’s non-traditional export sector continues to grow, with agriculture and processed goods playing an important role in the country’s economic transformation. The government’s ambition to significantly expand non-traditional exports by 2030 creates a strong opportunity for technology-enabled farmer networks that can meet international buyer expectations.
This partnership directly supports that direction by helping smallholder farmers become more visible, better organized, digitally traceable, and better prepared for premium markets.
Through AGRO-NIA and related MODARA Agri-Tech Kitchen programs, the partners aim to contribute to:
- Higher farmer productivity
- Improved farmer income opportunities
- Stronger export readiness
- Better sustainability evidence
- More transparent agricultural value chains
- Youth participation in modern agriculture
- Climate-smart and regenerative farming practices
- Stronger trust between farmers, buyers, certifiers, and development partners
